Betty is a national consumer reporter for USA TODAY. A Chicago-area native and a University of Iowa journalism graduate, she most recently spent 28 years at the Akron Beacon Journal in Ohio. There, she covered a variety of topics from business, metro and medical news. She was also Consumer reporter and columnist for 23 years. Betty is also an adjunct professor at Kent State University.
