VidCon, the Internet-video convention staging its sixth annual meet-up in July, announced that its speaker lineup this year will be headlined by Vessel founder and CEO Jason Kilar, Twitter TV and video product lead Baljeet Singh and GoPro SVP of media Zander Lurie.
Founded as a YouTube fan confab — notorious for its throngs of screaming teens looking to kibitz with digital stars — VidCon 2015 is expanding its industry-focused programming in hopes of attracting more bizzers.
VidCon 2015 is scheduled to take place July 23-25 at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, Calif. The three-day conference will feature 300-plus top YouTube creators for performances, workshops, discussions and networking. In addition, the industry track will include sessions with more than 100 online-video execs and analysts, with 14 keynotes planned.

Last year, VidCon recruited Jim Louderback, former g.m. of Discovery Digital Networks, to develop the biz-focused track for YouTube multichannel networks, traditional media companies, video-tech firms, advertisers and agencies.

In addition to the keynote speakers, VidCon 2015’s industry-track panels will cover topics including digital-content development; branded content; how to work deals for digital talent in Hollywood and beyond; and the future of YouTube multichannel networks.
“We took feedback from last year’s attendees, closely monitored the current industry and assembled a dream team of online-video power players to ensure this year’s attendees get the most out of VidCon 2015,” said Hank Green, co-founder of VidCon and host of YouTube shows VlogBrothers, SciShow and Crash Course.
Green started VidCon in 2010 with his brother, John Green, a vlogger and author of “The Fault in Our Stars” and other novels.
VidCon tickets start at $100 for the general-admission “community” track. The new creator ticket starts at $150, while the all-access industry ticket starts at $450.
