Samuel Notowitz has exited a top distribution job at Hallmark-owned subscriber VOD service Feeln.

Notowitz had been handling distribution strategy and partner marketing at the company since 2014, and was most recently promoted to VP of distribution and content acquisitions. He is stepping away after a period of strong growth for the company, which was in part due to partnerships he struck with Apple, Microsoft, Roku, Google, Sony and Amazon.

Notowitz was also instrumental in a brand pivot for Feeln, which evolved from a family-friendly focus targeting parents and children watching movies together to a strategy laser-focused on super-serving women 40 and over who seek a warm and earnest sensibility in their content. The strategy resulted in dramatic viewership increases and subscriber growth.

He joined Feeln from Sony Pictures Entertainment’s Crackle, where he oversaw partner and mobile marketing and rose to interim head of marketing prior to joining Feeln. Other previous posts were held at Paramount Pictures Digital Entertainment and Fox Broadcasting Co.
