Caroline Framke Variety

Caroline Framke is a chief TV critic at Variety. In 2019, she was named TV Critic of the Year at The Los Angeles Press Club’s National Entertainment Journalism Awards. Prior to joining Variety in 2018, she was a staff writer at Vox with a focus on gender, sexuality, and power dynamics in pop culture and beyond. Her work has also appeared on NPR, The A.V. Club, Salon, and The Atlantic. Framke is a graduate of Smith College, a keen seltzer enthusiast, and a big fan of TV that’s smart, strange, and self-aware. She is currently based in Brooklyn, New York.
