Chairman, Business Affairs & Operations
Horowitz has become one of the big men on campus over at NBCUniversal since joining the company some three decades ago. In 2019, he was promoted to vice chairman of Universal Filmed Entertainment Group, before being moved up again to vice chairman and then chairman of business affairs and operations. These days, Horowitz is in charge of global deals for NBCU’s film and television portfolio as well as streaming service Peacock, also advising the business affairs team on all deals and policy making decisions. Horowitz has helped fellow leaders hold down the fort since former CEO Jeff Shell was fired earlier in 2023 for misconduct at the company and as they gear up on all platforms for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, which is already seeing ad sales pacing ahead of its predecessor in Tokyo, with nine months still to go.
