Cooper Hoffman

Cooper Hoffman (born March 20, 2003) is an American actor known for "Licorice Pizza," "Wildcat" and "SNL 1975."

Hoffman made his acting debut in Paul Thomas Anderson's 2021 romantic dramedy "Licorice Pizza," in which he portrayed 15-year-old actor Gary Valentine. He was nominated for a Critics' Choice Award for best young performer and Golden Globe for best actor — motion picture musical or comedy.

He then acted in the 2023 Flannery O'Connor biopic "Wildcat," directed and written by Ethan Hawke and also starring Maya Hawke, Steve Zahn and Laura Linney. The film premiered at the 50th Telluride Film Festival.

In 2024, it was announced that Hoffman would portray television executive Dick Ebersol in a film based on the first broadcast of "Saturday Night Live" in October 1975. The feature, titled "SNL 1975," is directed by Jason Reitman from a screenplay he wrote with Gil Kenan.

Hoffman's other film credits include "The Trashers" and the Simon West-directed action-comedy "Old Guy," starring Christoph Waltz and Lucy Liu.

He is the son of actor Philip Seymour Hoffman and costume designer Mimi O'Donnell.
