Drake, born Aubrey Drake Graham on October 24, 1986, in Toronto, is a rapper, singer, actor and producer best known for scores of chart-topping songs and albums. Drake first grew to prominence as an actor on 100 episodes of the popular Canadian soap "Degrassi: The Next Generation" from 2001–2008, playing Jimmy Brooks. He then quickly transitioned his focus to music, releasing his first mixtape, "Room for Improvement," in 2006. After releasing two more mixtapes — 2007's "Comeback Season" and 2009's "So Far Gone" — he was signed to Lil Wayne's Young Money Entertainment.

Building on the buzz of those releases, Drake released a slew of #1 albums that spawned hit singles, including 2010's "Thank Me Later," 2011's "Take Care," 2013's "Nothing Was the Same," 2016's "Views," 2018's "Scorpion" and 2021's "Certified Lover Boy." In between official releases, Drake released other musical projects, including 2015's mixtape "If You're Reading This It's Too Late," a 2015 collaborative mixtape with Future called "What a Time to Be Alive," and the 2017 playlist "More Life." During this creative surge, Drake was frequently on tour, including 2012's Club Paradise Tour, 2017's Boy Meets World Tour and 2023's It's All a Blur Tour, which also included 21 Savage, J. Cole and Lil Durk.

In 2022, Drake started releasing albums — including "Honestly, Nevermind," "Her Loss" with 21 Savage and 2023's "For All the Dogs" — which were still commercial hits but began to erode some of the critical goodwill he had built over his career. In 2024, his rap career paused after he was engaged in a beef with Kendrick Lamar, during which Drake released "Push Ups" and "Family Matters" as shots aimed at the Compton rapper.

In addition to music, Drake has been an executive producer on several high-profile TV projects, including 2019's "Euphoria" and "Top Boy," 2021's "Chillin' Island" and 2023's "Saint X."
