Luke Newton is an English actor, best known for his role as Colin in the Netflix period drama series "Bridgerton."

Born in Shoreham-by-Sea, England, Newton participated in local productions, where he was scouted by an agent while performing in "Billy Elliot." He then trained at the London School of Musical Theatre. In 2010, he made his television debut on the BBC teen series "The Cut," in which he appeared in 11 episodes. He was cast as the understudy for Elder Price in "The Book of Mormon" on the West End, and made his professional stage debut in 2013. He also appeared on a few episodes of the BBC soap "Doctors." In 2016, Newton starred in the Disney Channel U.K. musical drama "The Lodge," which ran for two seasons.

Newton caught his big break in 2020 when he scored the role of Colin Bridgerton, the third eldest son in the Bridgerton clan, on the Netflix series of the same name. The show's third season, which is currently airing, stars Newton alongside Nicola Coughlan as Penelope Featherington as the characters' friends-to-lovers storyline plays out.
