Zac Efron

Zac Efron (born October 18, 1987) is an American actor known for his singing and dancing skills in Disney's "High School Musical" franchise, comedies like "17 Again" and "Neighbors" and playing wrestler Kevin Von Erich in A24's "The Iron Claw." After a handful of TV and film roles, Efron became a teen sensation with the first "High School Musical" in 2006, starring as Troy Bolton opposite Vanessa Hudgens. He became a Disney Channel star immediately and went on to reprise his role in a 2007 sequel and a 2008 finale. Efron played Link Larkin in the 2007 "Hairspray" adaptation, and after his "High School Musical" success, he had a slew of other film roles like "17 Again" (2009), "Charlie St. Cloud" (2010), "New Year's Eve" (2011), "The Lorax" (2012) and more. He then ventured into adult comedies like Seth Rogen's "Neighbors" (2014), "That Awkward Moment" (2014) with Michael B. Jordan and Miles Teller, "Dirty Grandpa" (2016) with Robert De Niro, "Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates" (2016) and "Baywatch" (2017). After showing off his singing chops once more in 2017's "The Greatest Showman" with Hugh Jackman, Efron turned to more dramatic roles like playing serial killer Ted Bundy in "Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile" (2019), starring in the 2022 Stephen King adaptation of "Firestarter" and the biographical drama "The Greatest Beer Run Ever" (2022). He also won a Daytime Emmy for hosting the Netflix travel series "Down to Earth With Zac Efron" in 2021. Efron earned major buzz for starring in the biographical sports drama "The Iron Claw" (2023) about the Von Erich wrestling clan and their supposed family curse.
