Zac Efron (born October 18, 1987) is an American actor known for his singing and dancing skills in Disney's "High School Musical" franchise, comedies like "17 Again" and "Neighbors" and playing wrestler Kevin Von Erich in A24's "The Iron Claw." After a handful of TV and film roles, Efron became a teen sensation with the first "High School Musical" in 2006, starring as Troy Bolton opposite Vanessa Hudgens. He became a Disney Channel star immediately and went on to reprise his role in a 2007 sequel and a 2008 finale. Efron played Link Larkin in the 2007 "Hairspray" adaptation, and after his "High School Musical" success, he had a slew of other film roles like "17 Again" (2009), "Charlie St. Cloud" (2010), "New Year's Eve" (2011), "The Lorax" (2012) and more.
