On Thursday, 11th July 2024, Manuel HB9DQM/P, a radio amateur, from Switzerland, reached the summit of Corn da Tinizong/Tinzenhorn in the Graubünden Canton of Switzerland, and became the first to activate this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.
He made 48 contacts in total working on the 40m, 30m and 20m amateur radio bands.
The summit of Corn da Tinizong/Tinzenhorn is 3173 metres (10404 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA group database.
