Magilligan Point Nature Reserve (GIFF-0031)

On Monday 8th April 2024 at 12:43 UTC, Jürgen ON3UA, a radio amateur from Belgium made contact with Andy GI7SQW/P, a radio amateur from Norwich who was operating from the Magilligan Point Nature Reserve (GIFF-0031) on the 20m amateur radio band. Andy made a total of 131 contacts while at the reserve.

The Magilligan Point Nature Reserve (GIFF-0031) is located at the mouth of Lough Foyle, to the north-east of Londonderry in Northern Ireland. The Nature Reserve incorporates a large dune system, and it was the dynamic nature of this coastline that was one of the reasons that the site was designated as a Nature Reserve.
