'Chuck' Season 4, Episode 6 Recap (VIDEO)

by Ryan McGee, posted Oct 26th 2010 12:15AM
['Chuck' – 'Chuck Versus the Aisle of Terror']

'Chuck' fans had good reason to worry about this week's episode. The title of this week's outing, 'Chuck Versus the Aisle of Terror,' reeked of Theme Week over at 'American Idol.' Casting Robert "Freddy Krueger" Englund as this week's baddie only added to the high risk, reward nature of the outing. So, was the episode scarily good, or frightfully bad?

The answer: mostly great, even while proving that a central aspect of the show has long overstayed its welcome and needs to be minimized, if not outright eliminated, for the show to become more than it currently is. Sure, eliminating that aspect would be risky, but so was 'Aisle of Terror' itself. And that little experiment worked out just fine.

'Oprah': A Second Chance, and a Miraculous Set of TripletsSecond chances in this life are rare. But that's exactly what Chris and Lori Coble got -- a second chance in life, and a second chance at life.

On the day after her son's 5th birthday, Lori Coble loaded up her minivan with her three children. There were two girls and a boy: Son Kyle, and daughters Emma and Katie. They went to a local mall, where the kids rode on a Ferris wheel and went to a pet store.

During the ride home, the van was struck by a 40,000 pound truck. Lori survived, but the three children died as a result of their injuries. It's a truly tragic story. On today's 'Oprah' (weekdays, syndicated), Lori and her husband Chris spoke of what happened next.

'How I Met Your Mother' Season 6, Episode 6 Recap

Cobie Smulders and Neil Patrick Harris in 'HIMYM' - 'Baby Talk'['How I Met Your Mother' - 'Baby Talk']

If there is any sign that this episode would be one of the funniest of this young season, the sight of a bewigged, frozen-faced Old Barney would be it. We've seen what Barney's version of his old self might look like, as he used old man makeup to pick up women with a time travel story. But the vision that Marshall had of what Barney might be like in a couple of decades seems like it would be more accurate.

That perma-tanned, Botoxed, George Hamilton version of Barney is bound to happen... unless he and Robin get together again. And we saw a little sign that there might be some life left in the Robin-Barney pairing.

Most Hemptacular Moments on Adult Swim

by Ryan McKee, posted Oct 25th 2010 7:40PM
As Nov. 2 nears and Californians prepare to vote on Proposition 19, which would legalize marijuana in their state, get ready to see plenty of weed-themed lists, articles and videos online.

Adult Swim is one of the front-runners with a list of picks for "Most Hemptacular Moments" on their channel. They open the piece by admitting everyone always thinks they're high when coming up with their extremely oddball programming.

"The answer is that we don't require any substances to create the stuff that we do," the article claims. "Unless, of course, you count "money" as a substance."

Wow, it sounds like they're using cash for rolling papers. Maybe there is more money in late-night extended cable than we previously thought?

What happened to cause these ladies to put down their diamonds and put up their dukes? According to Radar Online, Barney threw wine in Keough's face, prompting the 'Thintervention' star to retaliate and the two got into a physical altercation.

Before the fight, Barney attempted to serve Keough with a cease and desist letter, claiming that interviews Keough gave about Barney and ex-husband Simon were untrue. This enraged Keough, and an argument began.

According to one witness, "It was crazy. It looked more like an out-of-control bar scene than a party!"

'South Park' Creators Apologize for Ripping Off CollegeHumor

by PopEater Staff, posted Oct 25th 2010 6:20PM
'South Park' creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone have apologized for accidentally plagiarizing the website CollegeHumor.

As we reported last week, CollegeHumor writer Dan Gurewitch blogged about the similarities between an Oct. 20 'South Park' spoof of 'Inception' and one that he co-created with David Young. Gurewitch included a line-by-line comparison.

Parker and Stone then confessed to lifting the material, though unconsciously, CNN reports.

"We thought their joke was that a lot of those lines were actually in the movie, showing that the 'Inception' characters didn't even know 'Inception.' That was a mistake, and it was an honest mistake," said Stone. "We're stupid and we just threw it together."

The Costume: New Directions leader and Spanish teacher Will Schuester from FOX's mega-hit 'Glee,' played by the talented Matthew Morrison.

What You'll Need: Skinny jeans and sweater vests. This is the standard outfit for Schue in his role as glee club director. You can supplement with some button-down shirts and skinny ties, but the jeans and vests are mandatory.

You'll also need some skin-tone putty to enhance your chin as well as add a little cleft. Nothing too drastic; just enough for someone, Sue Sylvester, for example, to say that they want to put a diaper on it because it looks like a baby's bottom.

'The Vampire Diaries': Taylor Kinney Helps Us Say Goodbye to Mason Lockwood

by Jean Bentley, posted Oct 25th 2010 3:30PM
Taylor Kinney as Mason Lockwood on 'The Vampire Diaries' Watching a beloved character die is now a rite of passage for 'Vampire Diaries' fans, since writers Kevin Williamson and Julie Plec have proven time and time again that no one in Mystic Falls is safe from the grim reaper. So when Mason Lockwood met his untimely demise at the hands of Damon Salvatore on last week's episode -- literally, Damon used his hands to rip Mason's heart out -- it was an unexpected yet ultimately unsurprising moment.

But that didn't make Mason's loss sting any less. When Taylor Kinney, the actor who played Mason, called TV Squad on Friday to talk about his character's death, he understood our pain. "I'm in heaven now," he said. Interesting. That's where Mason went? "Or hell. I don't know."

Well, actually, that brings up a good point -- where do werewolves go when they die? "I don't know! Maybe they get thrown into some bad B-animated film like 'All Dogs Go to Heaven' type of thing and they get to terrorize puppies in that world," he suggested, then laughed. "Or not."
