The spoof is spot on. Grover sports a towel and does the "look at yourself, now back to me" bit, the "two tickets to that thing you love" bit, and of course, "I'm on a horse."
Either way, this clip is set to become more viral than Sesame Street's most recent pop culture parody of True Blood, and maybe even top the banned Katy Perry clip. Controversy definitely scores YouTube views, but Old Spice Grover's humor and cuteness are more likely to win over the target Sesame Street audience.

Clearly you have never experienced the joys of the word "on" or muppet cattle.

That is adorable!!! And, Deanna, thank you for pointing that out. I am sick and tired of idiots who don't know the English language attempting to write it, such as Thomas.

As a mother who used to watch Sesame Street with her young children, this is hysterical! I just love Grover (remember: near.....far?)

That's Eric Jacobson as Grover. He also plays Bert now, and Fozzie and Piggy for the Muppet Show franchise. Frank Oz still shows up on Sesame Street, but rarely.

Joy Hathaway, you must be paying as close attention to
these Sesame Street parodies as I am, whether as seen
on YouTube exclusively, or on Sesame Street, itsself.

I will register my protest here: this is bad for children, because it teaches them that television advertising figures largely in the world; it only does in the world of television, but small minds are not mature enough to know the difference between what's on the box, and what's real. Yes, television's purpose has always been to sell soap, but people charged with the welfare of children demanded that the PUBLIC airwaves be available to non-commercial programming, and have edifying shows for kids. Now they are allowing advertising to get in, because they do love money, and they'll betray the children to have it. Children's Television Workshop, you people had better clean house, this is getting serious.

Even kids can understand satire ... check out the continuing popularity of Bugs Bunny. Get real, Cookie Monster is hardly selling soap. He/she/it is actually laughing at those who do.
