Some of THE most fucked-up stuff I’ve ever read aimed at women came from so-called “safe” sites that were all loud and smug about how pro-women they are, RIGHT up until any of them dared disagree with them.
Lotsa hypocrisy out there. Ever female creator I know has faced some of it, from the very people who talk endlessly about how pro-female they are.

I looked it up. The original solicit was quite a bit longer, and I think a little more exciting. The “aide” misspelling was in the original that I wrote, so that’s my fault. The “Renee Montaya AND the Question” thing was an error added later by someone else. I’m sure they just misread the original.
HOWEVER.
Holy crap, I could look at that cover for a week. And the insides are just as pretty.
Since it said “aide” I thought Renee got a new secretary or something.

I didn’t notice the “aide” thing at first. I think this might be the weirdest solicitation copy I’ve ever had for any book I’ve worked on.
I usually write a rough solicit, they tart it up, and it gets sent out. This one is just weird. Now I have to go look and see if I made those mistakes or someone else did.

I've begrudgingly grown to love her (when she showed up first the idea of a plucky girl who wanted to be Batgirl trampled all over my unresolved Steph issues), and it would be cool to see her back under your pen.

Misfit will be showing up, she MAY be showing up in another book entirely in a little bit. Sorry I have to be vague! I did just write a Huntress/Misfit team up story, though!
