What my husband got me for my birthday today! He upgraded my engagement ring! I love it so much! Especially the sapphires ! And that’s sand, not dirt. The beaches here are weird.

Throwback Thursday! December in 2011 he was stationed here in Fort Lewis & I was still down in Texas. He told me he couldn’t afford a ticket home for Christmas, I was sad but I said I understood. So on Christmas when I went to his family’s house to give them their presents a huge wrapped box with a bow was sitting on the couch. They wouldn’t let me open it, told me it was for me, but wouldn’t let me open it. Then everyone went to the dining room & I said I had to go to the bathroom and I went to peek in the box. Guess who was inside? Not Tyler, his brother. So I just sort of stood there confused until Tyler jumped out from behind the couch and grabbed me making me scream and practically have a heart attack. Leave it to Tyler to make me think I’m getting surprised, then make me think I’m not, then practically scare me to death and end up surprising me anyway. Oh well. Still was a good Christmas having him home
