We use the Jetpack plugin to intergrate our externally hosted WordPress site with out wordpress.com account and take advantage of the latter’s facility for allowing users to subscribe to blog post notifications.

We recently experienced a disruption of service that caused the association between the externally hosted site and our wordpress.com account to be severed for an extended period of time; when that link was reestablished, we noticed that our entire subscriber list was gone.

We *suspect* what may have happened is that during the time that our main website (at the provided link) was offline, a staging copy of the site was at some point erroneously connected to our wordpress.com account instead, causing our subscriber data to be migrated there. Unfortunately, if this is indeed the case, we can’t seem to find our figure out how to access the duplicate property.

Is there any possibility of recovering the original subscriber list? The service disruption which led to this confusion would have begun on or around May 30th-31st of this year; I can provide the URL of the staging site which I suspect may have erroneously been connected to our live site’s wordpress.com account during the downtime, on request.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

Can you please provide the URL of the staging site? We should be able to merge the subscribers once we have that information.

If you want it to remain private, you can also contact us via this contact form:

If you choose to reach out directly, please include a link to this thread.

    Thanks!
