    Hi support.

I installed JetPack, JetPack Protect and JetPack Boost.

I do have a mini website with small pages, only a handful of images and only 1 page with a simple contact form. My homepage has a slider with only 1 image. From the start, JetPack Boost is alarming me that my site is too slow and gives me score D.

Without any significant changes, yesterday it said: your speed has improved. Today, without any notable changes (except some content-text related ones) I got a score D again with Mobile 28 and Desktop 47. I don’t understand where this is coming from.

Toggling the settings on and off doesn’t do much to improve the score. As of today, I have enabled: critical css (with regenerating every time it tells me), combine JS, combine CSS, image CDN. I can not delay JS because than my form doesnt work anymore.

Can you please let me know what the matter is? Because I simply don’t understand why my site would be so slow while it is so ini-mini little. Also, when visiting myself, I do not experience any slowness.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi there,

Looks like your site has currently got a good score of 89 on mobile and 99 on desktop. Did you make any changes?

If you are experiencing issues when deferring a particular script, you can instruct boost to skip it. For that, a little bit of development experience is required. Here is instruction on how to do it: https://jetpack.com/support/jetpack-boost/exclude-javascript-files-from-jetpack-boost-deferral/

    Hi Adnan,

I installed WP-Optimize, and that did the trick. Without that, my site stays slow. JetPack is causing all kinds of issues with both my theme and my form, hence I had to disable most of it’s features, which don’t seem to be working at all.

I understand the instructions in the link, but it doesn’t tell me where to place that script. Is this in the theme functions? Or in the wp-config?

The snippet can be used in functions.php file. I have updated the instructions to make them clearer.

    Hey @forinn,

Do you still need help? We usually close inactive threads after one week of no movement, but we want to make sure we’re all set before marking it as solved. Thanks!
