Error: jetpack_development_mode is deprecated since version 8.8

    Just installed 10 mins ago and my Jetpack admin page is blank (only admin menu is visible). Disabled all plugins and use default theme but same. I’m getting lots of these errors below.

    [08-Aug-2020 03:29:00 UTC] PHP Deprecated: jetpack_development_mode is <strong>deprecated</strong> since version 8.8.0! Use jetpack_offline_mode instead.

    PHP Version: 7.2.32
    WP: 5.4.2
    Hoster: A2 Hosting

    Hey there, sorry for the trouble. It was a rendering bug in our admin page when this notice was displaying in the Jetpack admin.

    We just pushed an updated version in 8.8.1 that should take care of this.

    I am still getting this after the update to 8.8.1 .

    Deprecated: jetpack_development_mode is deprecated since version 8.8.0! Use jetpack_offline_mode instead. in /home/XXXXXXXX/public_html/wp-includes/functions.php on line 5088

    Are you currently using Jetpack in Development Mode?

    Instead of Development Mode, try Offline Mode: https://developer.jetpack.com/hooks/jetpack_offline_mode/

    Hi,

    Fyi without any mods I see the same warning. I started seeing the same warning after upgrading from 8.8.1 to v8.8.2
    I had to downgrade until Jetpack 8.7.1 for them to go away again.

    As mentioned, instead of Development Mode, try Offline Mode: https://developer.jetpack.com/hooks/jetpack_offline_mode/

    @james huff. Thank you. I have no Development Mode defined anywhere. I added apply_filters(‘jetpack_offline_mode’, true);
    in my function.php and still: my debug.log ist filled with

    This happend after last Jetpack-update.
