    Hi there!

The image CDN is causing trouble on a new site under development. Here are the symptoms.

Under Settings - Performance - Performance & speed, if I enable the option Speed up image load times, the images do not appear on the frontend. When I disable this option, everything works okay. Is this a known issue or something I could do to resolve this please?

PS: On this site, I am using Kadence Blocks as the page designer. Jetpack Version 9.4

    Kind regards,

    Hi,

Thanks much. the site’s under development currently. I am making it available temporarily (https://www.allcainsurance.com/) to help us troubleshoot the issue.

Noticed the following error when I disconnected and re-connecteded Jetpack.

There was an error reconnecting Jetpack. Error: The Jetpack server was unable to communicate with your site https://www.allcainsurance.com [IXR -32300: transport error: http_request_failed cURL error 35: error:1409442E:SSL routines:ssl3_read_bytes:tlsv1 alert protocol version]

On the Debug screen, I see a 200 error.

    Kind regards,

    Hi @backpackingseries,

It looks like Jetpack can connect well now, which is a great place to start 🙂

Now on your initial CDN issue: I see that the feature is turned off at the moment. Could you please turn it on and see if you experience the same problem you reported initially? If so, there are two actions I’d like you to take to pinpoint what could be clashing with the CDN feature.

First of, can you please temporarily deactivate all your plugins and check if the problem gets fixes that way? If it works, then reactivate each plugin one-by-one to find out which one is causing problems.

If that won’t find anything, then let’s check your theme. Try to temporarily switch your theme to Twenty Sixteen and see if the problem persists. You’re welcome to use the Theme Switcha plugin to do that:

    https://wordpress.org/plugins/theme-switcha/

This plugin lets you change themes without it affecting the way users see your site.

Let me know what you find out and we’ll take it from there. Thanks!

    Thank you @erania-pinnera

The issue appears to be with the SVG plugin. Not sure why, because I have used Jetpack and SVG Support plugin together on other sites too and never had a conflict. For now, I have removed SVG images and switched to JPG/PNG instead and deactivated the SVG plugin.

    Hey @backpackingseries,

Thanks for letting us know. If you like, you can bring this to the attention of our developers in the public Jetpack repository here: https://github.com/Automattic/jetpack/issues

Make sure to include detailed steps to reproduce if you do decide to post an Issue there.

I’m going to mark this thread as resolved now, but feel free to reach back out if you still need us.

    Cheers!
