    Hi there

I’m new and just starting out with Jetpack CRM.

I have added my company logo in the Jetpack CRM > Settings > Invoicing page and it shows up in the editor when I create a new invoice. It also shows up on the web page when I hit Preview.

But it doesn’t show up in the PDF that is generated – instead there is “Image not found or type unknown” paced over a square with diagonal lines in it.

Any clues how to fix? What more info do you need

    Ta

    David

    Hi @davidjeanneret,

    Thank you for reaching out!

We have seen a very similar issue from another user, for whom the culprit was due to a server-side issue that prevented images from opening in parts of the site, including the PDF generation.

As a first step, I highly recommend reaching out to your host to see if there are any server-side blocks in general. In that case, this StackOverflow article may be helpful:

    https://stackoverflow.com/questions/15153139/dompdf-remote-image-is-not-displaying-in-pdf

If you are still seeing issues even after checking server-side limits, would you please check your ‘System Status’ (Jetpack CRM settings -> System Assistant -> System status tab), to see if there are any warnings there?

Then, would you check and share if you have any special security plugins installed, and what hosting provider/level you are using?

Thanks – is there a list of dependencies and permissions pertinent to the placement of images in PDFs that I could send to my host to check that their server-side setup allows this feature? (For instance I know that they don’t allow call-back requests)

    Thanks. David

    Hi @davidjeanneret ,

Not really – this would be dependent upon both the hosting operating system and server software, at the least.

One thing to check would be whether allow_url_fopen is set to true or false.

    Other questions:

    • what is the file type of your image? Can you link to it, so we can test it on our test sites?
    • can you link to a screenshot of the error you’re seeing?
    • does this only occur on PDFs? That is, does the image appear correctly in emails/in the Client Portal?

    Best,

    Cena

    Hello,

I’ve been using JetpackCRM without issue for over a year, but in the last week or so, have started experiencing the same image not rendering in PDF issue. My host is 20i, and I don’t know of any changes there that I have been able to identify.

The image in question is this one – https://internotable.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/11/InterNotableLogo.png – but I have tried a few other images, all with the same result.

I also went over the Stack Overflow article and tried hard coding the URL in the template as suggested, but get the same result. Any insights or suggested testing I can do would be great.

    Hi @levinternet ,

I grabbed your image, but would you mind starting a new thread? You may have a similar issue but a different root cause for it, so we try not to mingle threads. 🙂

Would you also let us know:

    • can you link to a screenshot of the error you’re seeing, if you’re seeing an error? (or is the logo just not showing?)
    • does this only occur on PDFs? That is, does the image appear correctly in emails/in the Client Portal?

    Hi @cena

    Thanks for your messages

Looking forward to what I can try next.

    Thanks.

    Hi @davidjeanneret

Thanks for sharing the logo of your company and the screenshot to show how it looks when you download the invoice.

I tested your logo on my end and I was able to see it when downloading the PDF file. Either as a draft and as a paid invoice. So I couldn’t replicate the error you are seeing on your end.

    I noticed that you said:

I have added my company logo in the Jetpack CRM > Settings > Invoicing page

I actually added your company logo on my test site by going to Jetpack CRM > CRM Settings > General > Business Info. Could you try uploading your logo in that section?

    Alba

Thanks for the response – actually I had added it at Jetpack CRM > CRM Settings > General > Business Info. Not sure why I quoted the location incorrectly in first post.

    anything else to try?

    Hi @davidjeanneret ,

It’s a tough one – this issue pops up occasionally, we’re never able to duplicate it, so we’re not quite sure what causes it for some users.

    – Would you share your PHP and Jetpack CRM versions?
    – Would you share any updates you’ve made to your site when the issue first started? For example, did you update any plugins, or theme?
    – Would you check the invoice template settings and make sure fonts are installed? https://kb.jetpackcrm.com/knowledge-base/using-custom-fonts-in-crm-pdfs-e-g-invoice-templates/
    – Would you check and make sure you are using default invoice template file? https://kb.jetpackcrm.com/knowledge-base/templating-how-to-change-templates-pdfs-portal-emails/#template-file-variations

If you still run into issues after testing the above, would you share your site health information via this form below, so we can take a closer look?

    https://kb.jetpackcrm.com/reporting-bugs-to-us/

You can use WordPress Site Health feature to send us some more information about your site:

    – In your WP Admin dashboard menu, click **Tools**, then select **Site Health**.
    – Click *Info* at the top of the page.
    – Click the ‘Copy site info to clipboard’ button
    – Paste this information into your reply.`

Please include the URL reference to this forum thread in the bug report ticket.

I am currently facing similar issue. I migrated my website from GCP to Hostinger using AIO WP Migration. After migration my PDF invoices are not able to find logo file and fonts.
