Hello, I have a problem with Jetpack plugin.

When its activated and linked to my website, it starts to generate traffic and connections witch slow down the server and the website became unviable. It happens every 30min and it takes about an hour. After that there is a period of 30min before it beginning again with more then 20 outside connections to the website. Dont know what generates this, from the support says that the most of the connections coming from Facebook. I dont have any FB plugin integrated.

Usually 20 real connections from visitors at same time dont have problems with my host and server, but when Jetpack doing this then the servers CPU goes to 100% full throttle and the RAM goes immediately to 5GB (usually is around 300MB). When this flood is active then I lose access to the website.

Now the plugin is disconnected and deactivated and my website running as usual.

Any Idea what can cause the problems ?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi there, @tin4o,

Thanks for your patience and bearing with us; we’re working on a backlog of support requests now, and we generally answer in the order received.

It sounds like you’re experiencing increased server load when Jetpack is active on your site. Jetpack itself should not cause such a high level of traffic that it brings down your server. There might be specific features of Jetano.ck that, when combined with other aspects of your site or its traffic, lead to performance issues.

    Here’s what I suggest:

    1. Reconnect Jetpack to your site (it looks disconnected at the moment), and update it to its latest version.
    2. Enable Jetpack’s site monitoring feature to track downtime and performance issues. This may help identify specific triggers for the traffic spikes.
    3. Review Jetpack’s Activity Log to see if a pattern or particular feature correlates with the high server load.
    4. Disable Jetpack modules one by one to identify which module is causing the issue. You can do this from the Jetpack Dashboard on your admin panel.
    5. Check with your hosting provider to see if they can provide more server logs that might indicate why your server resources are getting exhausted.

Hope that’s all clear! Let me know what you find out, and if you prefer to keep details private, you can contact us via contact form. If you choose to reach out directly, please include a link to this thread.

    Thank you!
