Jetpack not installed, but error log full of warnings

    I’m seeing a whole heap of errors in the logs.. I tried to install and remove jetpack, but made no difference. Can anyone help troubleshoot this?

    I cleared the php error log this morning, and have checked it just now… I’ve had a few instances of this showing up:

    Hey there

    These errors suggest that some code somewhere is triggering an exit in the middle of reading data from the database. That is likely to be caused by a conflict with another plugin.

    Would you be able to test this by disabling all of your plugins except Jetpack, and see if you still get those errors? If you do, it would help if you can get some SQL logs from your hosting provider, and then send those to us via this contact form and mention this thread.

    It is a live site, so not able to turn everything off… What I’m trying to figure out is why this is happening in the first place? We don’t use jetpack, don’t have it installed, so what exactly is syncing and to where and why?

    Can it just be turned off completely? From my end or your end?

    Hi @ireeps,

    Those errors are related to some database query, so it’s hard to know what’s causing it unless plugins are disabled one by one (although you mentioned Jetpack isn’t installed in the first place).

    Can you try cleaning the database and expired transients just to see if it affects it? You can use both of these plugins for that:

    Thanks for trying that out even if it didn’t get the result we expected.

    I dug a little in our records, and I can still see your site being connected to Jetpack, with URL being www.lawnaddicts.com.au.

    You said Jetpack is not installed, but since I see the opposite, I wonder if that’s okay for you if we disconnect the site from our end completely and see if the issue persists.

    Another option I’d like you to consider is ti set a staging site that mirrors your current site, and use it to perform the tests we wanted you to do in order to pinpoint the root of the issue – which are theme and plugins conflict tests.

    We can pursue both options at the same time, and see if we can find some clues to sort that out. Let me know how you’d like to proceed, and if you have any questions about that.

    I disconnected Jetpack from here. Give your site and browser a cache flush, and let us know how it goes.

    Hopefully that would solve the issue and we won’t need any staging site 🤞
