    Hello,
    for about two days now, the automatic sharing of my site’s posts on social media (Facebook and Twitter) no longer works. I have tried several times disconnecting and reconnecting Facebook, Twitter and also the Jetpack account but the problem does not seem to be solved. Also, when editing posts, social media in the dedicated Jetpack block no longer toggles automatically. No new plugins have been added recently and I checked the xmlrpc.php page which seems to be working properly.

    This is not the first time Jetpack has caused this issue, but the problem always resolves after reconnecting the Facebook account (the Twitter connection never seems to have had this problem until now, while currently the automatic sharing on Twitter does not work either).

    How can I fix this problem?

    Hi @rrose1311

    There are a couple of things going on here.

    First, the Jetpack connection to your site is broken. We are getting a HTTP/1.1 401 Unauthorized when we try to access your site’s REST API. This usually means that a security plugin or something on the web server is blocking us. Could you temporarily disable any plugins that may be interfering with this to see if it fixes the connection?

    Second, we have recently added a paid to Jetpack Social whereby shares are limited to 30 per month without a paid plan. You are exceeding this limit and will need to upgrade to a paid plan. You can add a plan by going to:

    yes we have a security plugin but at this point i think i understand that is not a connection issue but a limitation in the free plan plugin.

    On my side the ticket can be closed, thanks for the clarifications.

    You may find that you encounter other issues due to the problems with the connection between your site and Jetpack.
