    Hi there,

I have been using the jetpack stat report for a long time, as I found it really easy to use. However, I am wondering if it is possible to include “internal” affiliate links in the link stat panel.

Previously, I have been using the jetpack link stat panel to track affiliate links. For better management on the affiliate links, I have decided to switch to fake internal links (e.g. https://mysite.com/apply-xxx/) which redirects to external affiliate links. However, since these links are “internal” in the sense that it is under my domain name, clicks on these links are not recorded by the jetpack stat panel.

I am wondering if there is any workaround for me to track these “internal” affiliate links via jetpack. Thanks.

Hi there! That’s a great question. Your desired use-case seems a bit beyond the scope of what Jetpack Stats was designed for. So I’m afraid that you may not be able to use Jetpack to accomplish this.

There are a number of third-party plugins that might be able to help with that, though. I use the Redirection plugin myself which can record how many times a redirected URL is hit. Using that plugin, you could configure affiliate links to use an internal URL like your example and then see how many times that link is hit.

    I hope that helps!
