we are on WordPress 6.5.3 and everything else is fully up to date. is this something I can turn off in settings to resolve for now? our news site has over 11,000 news items and growing daily.

Thanks for attaching that! I can see that there’s a query being killed (stopped) as it contained a lot of data to sync the items you are adding to the site, with Jetpack.

I have found that you have disconnected two hours ago, did you do that to resolve the error? I’d suggest reinstalling and reaching out to your hosting provider, to have them resolve the issue with your XML-RPC endpoint (which is needs to be accessible and working, just as the example here).

Let us know how this goes.

Thank you for coming back to me regarding this.

Yes, we have been tracking an issue that happens around lunchtime with timeouts and as this error was appearing in the logs, we were going through our plugins and testing them to see if turning them off would resolve the issue.

I had turned off the plugin today to test if this would resolve the issue but the problem continued. I have now re-activate the Jetpack plugin and reconnected. I did see that your user connection process is impacted by the WPO365 plugin we have installed, turning that off while we connect resolved the issue. You may know a fix for that issue but it is not urgent.

I will leave the website as it is for tonight and check tomorrow on progress. Could restarting the plugin have resolved this issue?

Any help you can offer, would be greatly appreciated.

I think restarting and reconnecting may have fixed the issue, we would usually get a minimum of 5 an hour and there have been none since turning the plugin back on.

Can you confirm that everything is connected correctly from your side?

Thanks for the multiple follow-ups to keep us posted on your testing.

I checked the Jetpack connection, and it seems to be connecting okay. However, I found out two issues:
- There is still some cache discrepancies that might affect the way the data are handled between your site and our servers: I launched a new sync job which hopefully will fix that in 24 hours time
- I noticed that API Output still returns a 403 error: that could be caused by another block on the server’s end. Can you double-check for me that our IPs range is fully allow listed?Also, check for any security/caching plugins you may have enabled, and try temporarily disabling them to see if it fixes the problem. You may also want to search for any firewall on your server-side that might be blocking the communication with the Jetpack – your host should be able to help you with that.
While you work on the above, please keep a close eye on the query logs in case you spot any other errors or issues. Let’s see how it goes, and we’ll take it from there if necessary. Thanks for sorting this out with us!
