Just installed Jetpack and am having a couple of issues.

    1. When installed it generates WebSocket connection errors. I’ve tried disabling the plugin and reactivating it…doesn’t change anything.
    2. When enabled it overwrote the styles on my comments field. Is there any way to remove those styles so that it looks as designed?
    3. The third is more of a question. Jetpack places the share and like buttons directly beneath the article content. But I have citations at the bottom of the article that are rendered via short code. Any way to move them to the bottom?

    Hi @eventide0,

Thanks for installing Jetpack, and welcome! I’ll answer your questions below:

We’ll need to be able to view your site to see if we can determine where to begin specific troubleshooting. In general, though: make sure you’re logged into WordPress.com with the account you used to connect Jetpack to your site while doing this. Also, make sure that everything else on your site is up to date – other plugins, your theme, WordPress itself. If you don’t want to share your site URL, please contact us at the form I’ve linked here. Make sure to link this thread in your ticket.

You can disable Jetpack’s comment forms under Jetpack > Settings > Discussion in your WP Admin. More on our comment forms can be found here.

The third is more of a question. Jetpack places the share and like buttons directly beneath the article content. But I have citations at the bottom of the article that are rendered via short code. Any way to move them to the bottom?

This is doable with a little DIY tinkering! We have some documentation about this here, but note that our Scope of Support doesn’t include assistance with customization beyond the guidance provided in the documentation.

Let us know when you need us. 🙂
