Hello, I do not receive an e-mail from the contact form I have added to a page. It shows up on the feedback page in the WP panel. But the e-mail is not coming. SMTP installed.

    Can you help me?

Also… It appears in the WP panel seamlessly every time a form is submitted, right?

    Thanks.

    Hi @halilesen

We have a guide to troubleshooting issues with email delivery here:

    https://jetpack.com/support/jetpack-blocks/contact-form/#frequently-asked-questions

I’d recommend working through the steps there to see if you can discover the cause.

You might also want to double check to make sure the correct email is configured in the Block Settings:

Let us know how it goes.

No. Everything necessary has been done. This used to work. The same happens when using an old contact form; e-mail is not coming.

    Hi @halilesen

What is the Email Log plugin saying? Are emails being sent?

I’d recommend disabling your custom SMTP setup and then testing when using the default WordPress settings. When you do that, do you receive an email? Does anything show up in email log?

As you said, I disabled the SMTP plugin first. I filled out the form and sent it. The e-mail did not come. Then I activated the SMTP plugin and reviewed its settings. I sent a test email and it works. i use SMTP Mailer. Then I resubmitted the form and still no email. I cleared the cache at each step and tested it separately in incognito tab.

php version is the latest. Maybe Jetpack doesn’t support this?

    Hi @halilesen

I tested this with the latest version of Jetpack and PHP v8.2 and could not reproduce the issue. Using the Email Logs plugin, you can see the messages were sent:

Do you see any failures in the email logs when you enable the plugin?

If not, I’d suggest disabling all plugins other than Jetpack and seeing if you still have issues.

Let us know what you find out.

    Hi there,

It has been more than one week since we have heard from you, so Im marking this topic as resolved.

But if you have any further questions or need some more help, you’re welcome to reply here or open another thread.

    Hi,

Okey, Email Logs plugin also confirmed that it was not sent. Then after long testing I discovered something: Disabling the SMTP plugin does not cause any problems; e-mail is coming. I think Jatpack uses its own server directly. But is it normal for this to conflict? Since I have integrated phpBB and WordPress, SMTP is not used much in WP, since the e-mail density is usually on the forum side; but sometimes it’s essential isn’t it? I did not fully understand. Did you need SMTP? I wonder if it’s working because of the remnants of a plugin I abandoned. I have crazy questions in my head. 😀

    Hi @halilesen,

    > I think Jatpack uses its own server directly.

The Jetpack Contact form uses wp_mail() to send emails. It’s the same function WordPress uses to send you to comment notifications or notifications about new users registering on your site. Are you getting those notifications?

My colleague Jeremy gave some guidance on improving deliverability here.

Let us know if that helps.

    Hi @jenhooks ,

The problem is that it seems to conflict with Jetpack SMTP plugins. Hey, why not add a simple SMTP feature to Jetpack. Thus, there is no need for external plugins.

    Hey @halilesen!

The problem is that it seems to conflict with Jetpack SMTP plugins.

May I know which SMTP plugin currently you are using?

You can try POST SMTP Mailer, which is very easy to use and set up. You can find very detailed instructions for setting up here.

why not add a simple SMTP feature to Jetpack. Thus, there is no need for external plugins.

This sounds like the most efficient way to create a feature request here.

Our dedicated team will take a look at that and get back to you with questions or feedback if needed.

    Hope that helps!

    Hi @bizanimesh

May I know which SMTP plugin currently you are using?

I removed my SMPT plugin when I realized Jetpack didn’t need it.

    I did. https://github.com/Automattic/jetpack/issues/32027

    Thanks.

    Hey @halilesen!

I removed my SMPT plugin when I realized Jetpack didn’t need it.

If the emails are not going through then you should implement SMTP. As I mentioned above, you can try POST SMTP Mailer.

    I did. https://github.com/Automattic/jetpack/issues/32027

Thank you for adding that! 🙂
