A lot of employers are using a URL to accept applications and have no idea my website is sending them people. I do have the job applications plugin installed but the box to use the application form is unchecked. A lot of the bigger job boards (indeed, ziprecruiter, craigslist) automatically put something at the end of the URL like “utm_source=xxxx”. Is there a way to do this with WPJM? Unless the employer chooses to accept applications by email it looks like my website isn’t working for them and they wasted their money.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Definitely understand what you mean–we spend a lot of time manually checking job post performance in Google Analytics and e-mailing employers to let them know that their job post got “500+ page views” or “30+ application link clicks.”

We also added a note for job seekers at the bottom of the single job listing template (next to the application button) along the lines of “Applying for this? Let them know you learned about it on our site!”, for what it’s worth.

This might be another solution: Stats for WP Job Manager — the add-on lets employers see the page views and application link clicks on each job post from their dashboard (note: it doesn’t reset to 0 if they use the “Relist” option to re-post the job). Of course, they have to actually check their dashboard to see this, but it’s something, right!?

    Hi,

We do have this open issue for statistics:

    https://github.com/Automattic/WP-Job-Manager/issues/1733

But no progress on it as of yet, sorry!

@richardmtl – it’s disappointing to hear this; is there a roadmap (or something similar) where we can see what is being worked on? (Maybe I just don’t know how to interpret the GitHub issues, pull requests, and projects?)

…Or is WP Job Manager (and its core add-ons) not being further developed at this point? (It seems like it’s mainly being maintained, but not more, to me.)

We are currently in a phase of focusing on maintenance and bugfixes for WP Job Manager and its extensions. We will likely not be working on enhancements for the time being.
