    Hi,

just noticed this error when clicking within the hero section where the regions/category, etc. are. When I click on search (whether or not anything is in those fields), I get this error and the job list shows below it:

Warning: preg_match() expects parameter 2 to be string, array given in /home/<retracted>/public_html/test/wp-includes/class-wp-block-parser.php on line 417

Warning: strlen() expects parameter 1 to be string, array given in /home/<retracted>/public_html/test/wp-includes/class-wp-block-parser.php on line 489

Warning: preg_match() expects parameter 2 to be string, array given in /home/<retracted>/public_html/test/wp-includes/class-wp-block-parser.php on line 417

Warning: strlen() expects parameter 1 to be string, array given in /home/<retracted>/public_html/test/wp-includes/class-wp-block-parser.php on line 489

I have suppressed the php error, and oddly it shows the google map above it with the number of jobs in the area. I’m not even sure where it’s grabbing that from. I removed the google maps key but don’t think that matters. I have either rolled back or disabled any recent plugins and that didn’t make a difference. I’m using Jobify theme so not sure if this is you guys or them. Any enlightenment would be appreciated. I’ve googled this error and editing php is beyond me…none of it had anything to do with Jobify or WP Job manager.

You won’t see the error since I suppressed it but what I pasted in above is what shows.

    Thanks!

In looking at more search results on this, it appears something changed in WordPress 5.3.1. I rolled back to 5.3.0 and the error went away. This was happening on multiple plugins and the plugin authors had to fix it. Would this be the case for you guys or do you think this is a Jobify issue?
    Thanks!

    Hi,

This definitely sounds like a theme issue and not a plugin one. Jobify has heavily customized our search and filter functions. I haven’t seen any other reports of it either. So at this point, I think you should mention it to Jobify; if it turns out that it *is* because of WPJM, let me know!
