    Hello, I need help! I purchased VaultPress today but it’s trying to connect to my old wordpress.com site that I intend to shut down. I have a new wordpress.org site (the actual Bluehost URL is http://acy.wxk.mybluehost.me/, but I’m pointing my wordpress.com-registered domain bethsmith.me at it). I purchased it on my wordpress.org/Bluehost dashboard, but I think it’s wanting to point to my wordpress.com site. It’s strange.

    The message I get is: “We’re having trouble backing up your site. Get in touch with us to get your site backups going again.” Also, the number of plugins it says I have installed is what my wordpress.com site has, not what my bluehost-hosted site has. Can you advise what to do? I’m a bit lost.

    I looked at your account and see that Jetpack VaultPress Backup is now backing up your Bluehost site. The URL we are backing up is bethsmith.me.

    I suspect that the difficulty you were having was due to the time it takes for DNS changes to be made, so there was likely a period where your domain was referencing WordPress.com rather than Bluehost. I see that http://acy.wxk.mybluehost.me/ is now pointing to bethsmith.me.
