Remove the close session button

Do you mean the Sign Out link? If so, then you’d have to override this template:

Otherwise, it’s possible that your theme has already customized this section (since you mention a button that says “Close session” which is not what we have), in which case you’d need to modify your theme; ask your theme author for help in that case.
