Hello DKM, thank you for you contact!

Seems like you are hosting videos on VideoPress and playing them using some features of the MasterStudy LMS plugin.

Seems also that you changed the privacy of your videos to Private. Did you change it recently, after migrating to Jetpack VideoPress standalone plugin?

About the errors that you mentioned, they are being generated on the MasterStudy LMS plugin itself.

You will get the “403 Forbidden” response on the VideoPress video files everytime you try to access private videos without the proper authentication, and seems like the MasterStudy LMS plugin is not able to handle VideoPress private videos.

The code after the “.mp4” that you mentioned is the way to authenticate private VideoPress videos when playing it from your site.

Given that MasterStudy LMS may not be able to handle private videos, my suggestion is that you change the privacy of the videos back to public and test how things go.

Let me know what you get after it.

    Luiz

We just changed/checked the privacy a few days ago
The warrnings with mime_content_type error in the libery have we had since day 1 and is very annoying + slows our media libery down a lot. (LMS Masterstudy support told me its a problem at your end, also we do not have problems if we host our own videoes or other media)

The reason why we changed the privacy is because we dont want people share our videos and I have tried to remove the “share” button using CSS but it does not work. (it works when trying in inspect but when I add the css in the exstra css nothing happens) so is there a work around this? because we do really not want our students to share our videoes.

Hope it make sense and your able to help out 🙂

    Hi there

As per the VideoPress Service Guidelines, videos should be viewed via the VideoPress player, and we’re unable to support issues resulting from using third party players. If the Share button is part of the LMS Masterstudy player, you would need to ask them for help hiding that with CSS.

By the way, since you have a paid VideoPress subscription, you can contact us via this contact form in future for faster support.

    Thanks

    Thanks
I have contienued the issue using the contact form now.
FYI. The removal of the share botton is not 3 party related since I use the videopress link directly and I cant remove the share no matter if I post the video in a course (masterstudy), in a normal post or page.

About the warning in media libery this have I given up on because you guys say it is masterstudy plugin making the warrnings and masterstudy support is saying its your plugin calling header (or something) wrong… so this part seems to be no ones problem exept mine 🙁

    Best regards

    Hi there, @dkm0nline,

As my colleague Dan mentioned above, you’re entitled to get priority support as you own a VideoPress paid plan.

We’ll be happy to dig into your issues a little bit more if you can contact us via this contact form.

Please make sure to mention this thread. I suspect this could be a dead end (as this seems to be falling into the MasterStudy LMS plugin realm) but we’ll see what we can do. Thanks!
