I’m very confused about the CDN feature. I have it enabled but nothing changes on the site. I’ve tried it signed in and anonymous, normal browsing and In-Private. I’m not exactly clear on all the options. You have “Off-site URL” and also “Additional CNAMES”. I have my Azure Front Door URL plus I have a CNAME. My testing shows files are definitely present in the CDN (testing scripts and images with the Front Door or CNAME url). I think there’s nothing to hide in my settings, so I’m including an image below. My theory is that it’s not working with relative paths, even though there’s only one host name they could be. Is that a bug that could be fixed or is it something else?

    Hi there, @atkulp,

Thanks for the report and the screenshots. As far as I can see, it looks like ite issue cold be related to relative URLs: your theme or some plugin is changing all the URLs to relative. Because of it, the CDN feature cannot do the replace operation on the URLs.

Could you please test the following?

    • Temporarily deactivate all your plugins (but keep WP Super Cache enabled) and check if the problem gets fixed that way? If it works, then reactivate each plugin one by one to find out which one is causing problems.
    • Try to temporarily switch your theme to Twenty Twenty-Three and see if the problem persists.

Let me know what you find out 🙂

    Hi there, @atkulp,

Do you have updates about that? We usually close inactive threads after one week of no movement, but we want to make sure we’re all set before marking it as solved. Thanks!

From my troubleshooting it seems clear that the plugin just can’t handle relative paths. I wrote a hook to detect relative image paths and convert them to absolute CDN links and it works fine now. It would be really nice to have a setting to include relative links for this plugin

Thanks, @atkulp. I’ve passed this on to our team.
