    This is a paid plugin, but they wont tell you that until after you download it and waste your valuable time. get 1 star’d

    Akismet has both free and paid subscriptions. However, free keys are for personal, non-commercial sites only – no exceptions. That’s how it’s been for over a decade.

    If your site has advertising or affiliate links, sells products or services, solicits donations or sponsorships, or is in any way related to a business or educational organization – your site is considered commercial. Per our documentation and Terms of Service, we can suspend sites for noncompliance with those terms.

    Qualified nonprofit organizations can also use Akismet for free. We need the official documentation showing your nonprofit status and we will help you get set up with your own API key.
