    Hello,

Fresh copy of wordpress on a new blog. Can’t connect to jetpack. When I try to join http://blog.wobistore.com/xmlrpc.php, I’m redirected to the home page.

    Full error message

Details d’erreur: The Jetpack server could not communicate with your site’s XML-RPC URL. Please check to make sure http://blog.wobistore.com/xmlrpc.php is working properly. It should show ‘XML‑RPC server accepts POST requests only.’ on a line by itself when viewed in a browser and should not have any blank links or extra output anywhere.

    Thanks for any help

Looks like the redirect is the main issue right now issue, it’s imperative that your xmlrpc.php file is reachable. A couple of questions:

    – Do you use any security plugins that may block access to this file? If so, could you try to disable them? You might also want to check your site’s .htaccess file for any rules that might be blocking access to the xmlrpc.php file.

    – Does your hosting provider block access to this file? If you don’t find any plugin that may block access to the file on your site, I would recommend that you get in touch with your host.

    thanks for your answer…

short story… I have contacted my hosting provider, he said that it was normal because this feature is blocked by default. And that I have to secure the blog first. Then He will allow that function. So I proceed by securing the blog and I contact him back. My host provider said that It should work now… But it’s still not working…

I tried also as you suggested, to disable all plugin. But It didn’t change anything.

I do not know where to look…

Thanks for the update! It looks like your xmlrpc.php file is still redirecting to your homepage:
    http://blog.wobistore.com/xmlrpc.php

Can you contact your host once again, and ask them what is responsible for this redirect? Until we’re able to reach that file, I’m afraid you’ll be unable to connect Jetpack.

My problem is finally solved. I manage to connect to jetpack even if the page still redirect to the homepage of the blog. You are redirected to homepage by the plugin 404 to 301 because you didn’t get access to that page but Jetpack does…

So I was loosing patience because my host provider (ex2.com) keep saying that it should work, because they have unlock that feature. But it wasn’t working… Then the dev who is working on my website find the solution:

“I added IP of Automattic (dev of Jetpack) to whitelist through .htaccess and it works now
I have found their IP through log files
    192.0.87.164”

    thanks for your help
