Hey Rolf
We’re working on a block to replace the widget, but it can still be used in the meantime with the Classic Widgets plugin:
https://github.com/Automattic/jetpack/issues/34977#issuecomment-1888642296
That’s good news, thanks Dan 🙂
In the meantime, the shortcode would be enough if I knew the available shortcode attributes… or are there none?
I also face the same problem, block not available.
Hello @ravanh,
As pointed out here, you have some customization options. Quote below:
The shortcode offers the same customization options as the widget:
- title: the title
- count: number of posts to display, defaulting (and maximum) to 10.
- types: a comma-separated list of post types, defaulting to listing both posts and pages.
- ordering: can be
views
or likes
- display: can be
text
, grid
, or list
@simplylifetips, could you please start your own thread, as per the Forum Welcome guidelines?
You can create one here: https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/jetpack#new-post
Thank you!
Hi @tamirat22 thanks for that. The shortcode with these options will do perfectly 🙂
Hi @tamirat22
Here is the link which I had created 4 days before, but no response received yet. https://wordpress.org/support/topic/top-posts-pages-block-not-available/
Is it not possible for Jetpack to solve the block problem, instead adding and coding shortcode?

Hi @simplylifetips, the shortcode has been there since the start. It’s the widget that was removed, while the block is (as far as I understand it) not ready yet…
The shortcode works just fine. Add a shortcode block and enter:
[jetpack_top_posts_widget title="" count="10" types="post,page" ordering="views" display="list" /]
See the post by Joseph above for more about the shortcode options.
Hi @ravanh,
Thanks for jumping on this one! @simplylifetips, hope that helps! We usually close threads after one week of inactivity, so let us know if you need further help!
By the way, @ravanh, the block is coming soon 😉 Keep your eyes peeled on the next Jetpack plugin update 🙂
