In my Jetpack Stats i get Traffic Spam from Finland, once a week, it clicks 60 Blogposts and thats it. Every week the same.

There ist only the country name. I cant exclude it in Jetpack, because there is no URL Link.

Is there anybody with the same traffic spam ..

Thank you for your answer. My site url is

    mediendesign-quer.com

Below > Referrer there are the countries. And by countries there ist no arrow link , where i can mark as spam

I only have Jetpack Free. Perhaps this ist only possible in the paid version ?

    Hi @mdquer!

Are you able to see the “!” on mouseover here? You should be able to mark referrers as spam here.

Yes, id do. That ist ok. But underneath, there are listed the countries. And under Countries there are Traffic Spam from Finland. Always one visit and 60 klicks on Blog Posts.

I now, that Google does not like to ban Countries. But i cant see this Traffic on GA4. An in Jetpack Stats it occurs since mid of 2022. Regularly.

It ist so annoying. Nobody in Jetpack with similar Traffic Spam from countries ?

    Hi @mdquer

Are you still getting traffic from that country/source since you last responded? If that’s the case, you may want to use the following plugin to check from which IP address they are coming, and if it’s always the same IP address, you can block it.

    Hi @muffinpeace ,

thank you for your advice. I have not really the intention to install another Plugin. I just hit the Google Page Speed Insights. So another Plugin would decrease the chance to keep the green score.

I am new to ” Spam Traffic ” . But i will give the Plugin a try on a Test Site.
    Thank you !

Interesting is, that all listed countries per day in Jetpack, are the same listed countries per day in GA4. Except the country – Finland, with Traffic Spam. This is not listed in GA4. So it seems, that Google Analytics ist filtering this out ? But i am new to GA4 so perhaps it ist hiding elswere 🙂

Hi @mdquer, you can try the plugin then remove it, doing so shouldn’t impact the site performance. If you’d like to dig more into GA4, you can also ask in the Google Analytics Help Community forum.

Something else I noticed, the site is using the Surge plugin which does some file caching, and may potentially impact the way stats are tracked. Could you perhaps test turning it off and see if there are changes in the stats?

Thank you for your advice !
Surge is not the cause. I have surge since 4 weeks, and the Finland Traffic Spam is since mid of 2022.

To the plugin, it ist too complex for me. And the plugin can’t help me delete the traffic Spam in Jetpack Stats.
And in GA4 there ist no Traffic Spam from country. So i hope, perhaps it stops itslef 😅. In Jetpack i can use Visits. And for Page Views and the rest, i will use GA4. But thank you ..

And perhaps somthing will change in Jetpack too, what concerns the Traffic Bots. Hope Jetpack will also get better 👏

    Hi @md_quer,

We understand the impact of traffic spam on your Jetpack stats and share your concerns. We’ll be discussing this specific issue internally with our development team to explore what can be done in Jetpack to improve the handling of such spam traffic.

In the meantime, if you decide to investigate further and try the plugin we previously recommended checking the IP addresses of those spam visitors, we are here to assist you in any way possible.

If you have any more information to provide or need further assistance, feel free to reach out.
