Unable to insert blog.

    Hello,

    We use jetpack plugin on our prod website : explain.code-to.me and on our preprod website : preprod-explain.code-to.me.

    The plugin connects well from the preprod and connect my wordpress.com/me to it.

    But on the prod one we keep getting and error: Unable to insert blog. And this response from the debug jetpack site with a POST call:

    https://jetpack.wordpress.com/jetpack.register/1/

      string(105) “{“error”:”insert_blog”,”error_description”:”Unable to insert blog. Please try again or contact support.”}”

    Our suspicion is that the prod should be connected to our wordpress.com/me account and not the preprod. So maybe some settings to update on jetpack’s side?

    Hi @rapkalin, thanks for your patience while we work through a backlog of support requests. 🙂

    It looks like you might not have disconnected Jetpack from either site before you’ve merged the production site to the development site and vice-versa. You can read about why this is a problem here.

    In the future, make sure you disconnect Jetpack first. I also recommend you check out our documentation here:

    I’ve updated the settings on our end so you should be able to connect your production site to Jetpack now. Please let us know if you continue to have trouble!

    Thank you so much for your answer 🙂

    We’ve tried everything including disconnecting jetpack from our staging environnement but we decided to put it back and write this ticket.

    The problem seems to be resolved tho! So big thank you. We will read the links you sent and be careful for the next time.
