    Hi,

While Wordfence is a trully good plugin and offers 90% of the its features for free, i think that it should include some new ways and strategies to fight BOTS in 2024.

For example Rate Limiting is useless in 80% of the attacks. Because bots and scrapers hit you simultaneously from various IPs all over the world. The same goes for the paid Wordfence Country block, almost useless.

Cloud attacks, vpn attacks, all those techniques need a different approach.

And i see nothing new in Wordfence towards all that.

    Thank you

    Hi @dimalifragis,

    Thanks for your feedback.

For attacks where the same IP address is hitting the site repeatedly over a short period, adjusting our recommended rate limiting settings can help to throttle or block unwanted traffic. You can view our recommended settings at https://www.wordfence.com/help/firewall/rate-limiting and adjust those to your needs. For DDoS attacks where IPs are changing frequently, we recommend using DDoS-specific solutions such as a CDN.

You can also block visits by hostname, user agent, referrer, or IP manually in the Wordfence > Firewall > Blocking > Custom Pattern section if you’re seeing a trend in hits or attacks on the site.

Per the forum rules, we’re not allowed to discuss Premium features here, but please reach out to us at presales @ wordfence.com and we can discuss Premium features we have that can help you in your situation. If you’re a Premium customer, you can open a ticket with our support and we can take a deeper look at your site to see what we can suggest.

    Thanks,
    Margaret

    Thanks for the reply,

My post wasn’t to ask for a solution but something else that you apparently missed.
