WordPress database error Commands out of sync

As of v12.2 and continuing in v12.3 (if it happened before these versions, it was so low-volume so as not to catch my notice), I’ve seen a periodic flurry of errors like this in /public_html/error_log. I don’t see any visible problems, and the Jetpack backup is still happening, but I’d like to get Jetpack back to not spewing these notices, if possible.
