You have everything at your doorstep in the city centre and there's an exciting mix of cultures and ideas to cater for every whim you might have. You can indulge in a shopping spree, enjoy some of our city parklands or have a pint in the numerous pubs and clubs.
See & Do
The city centre offers plenty of walking, bus and bicycle tours for you to get a feel for the city. Why not try the Historical Walking Tour of Dublin to find out more about our fascinating and violent history.
You'll also find some beautiful urban parks like the Iveagh Gardens that has its own waterfall and commonly hosts gigs and events in the summer months. You'll also see many beautiful architectural and historial buildings, not least Trinity College.
Eat
Whether you want an authentic Irish steak at FX Buckley's, some serious gastro pub grub at W.J. Kavanagh's or any type of food from French at Les Frères Jacques or great Italian at The Unicorn there is a wide range of gastronomic experiences in the city centre.
If you just want to stop of for a quick bite then maybe grab a burrito at Pablo Picante's or if you're looking for more than one course The Greenhouse might be more up your alley.
Party
The city centre is a hub of great watering holes like Whelan's and The Bernard Shaw, or you can opt for a club and rub arms with the Dublin socialites in Krystle or a more indie crew in The Workman's Club.
For DJs head down to The Button Factory or The Twisted Pepper and if you're just after a good pint then try Anseo.
Stay
Whether you want the glitz and glamour of a hotel like The Morgan, the refined elegance of The Merrion Hotel or the opulent glamour of The Shelbourne there are plenty of high class establisments to fit your needs.
Meanwhile if you want a guesthouse or budget hotel places like the Baggot Court Townhouse or The Times Hostel your budget can be catered for.
Shop
The Henry Street area is one of Dublin's oldest and most recognisable shopping districts. Here the modern high street mixes with the old traditions with women often selling goods such as strawberries and cherries from old prams.
Meanwhile on Moore Street you'll find one of Dublin's biggest open air food markets and plenty of interesting ethnic shops if you're looking for rarer items.
