Premium build quality and quick warm-up, but similar results
Comparing this curling iron to my previous one (Conair Instant Heat) is quite interesting. The ghd has vastly superior build quality & ergonomics, much quicker warm up, but provides similar end results.THE GHD CURVE IRON - DESIGNThis curling is mostly made from a nice looking flat black plastic, with a rubberized non-hot tip, and rubberized fixed stand. This power brick design prevents you from plugging in anything in the outlet below it. I timed warm-ups from cold a few times, and each time the unit is ready to curl after less than 20 seconds of warm-up (this is quicker than advertised). This iron maintains a fixed temperature of 365°F and no adjustment is provided. This temperature curls my fine hair in 6-8 seconds. Overall, this curling iron functions exactly the same as other curling irons I’ve used, and results are similar – no better, no worse.
WARRANTY
Included is a 2-year warranty. If your unit has an issue and is repaired/replaced, the new unit continues with the original warranty, and the warranty will be extended to ensure a minimum 180day warranty on the replacement. No details are provided on the warranty procedure (i.e. if you need to send it to them at your cost, etc.)
