Great image, impressive IR night reach for such a small camera on POE no less.

But I'm giving up on the motion detection - which is the main point to most cameras overlooking cars in a driveway. I even followed the ADC video understanding to make smaller zone boxes. But I have slightly tweaked both the sensitivity and coverage % and either get an unnecessary clip every minute or so against my 1000 monthly quota (already 500 in the first night, oops) … or I can walk right through the middle of the screen with a howitzer and the camera uploaded nothing. Yes, I suppose I can buy the expensive SVR but the motion was to notify me in near realtime that someone is approaching my vehicle. And I have that ADC message tied via IFTTT to flashing my smart patio lights to scare them off AFTER I get them on camera.

I have a Ring doorbell that can do much better motion recording than this.

got four installed from a local dealer, motion detection is simply not working. if you want to set the camera sensitive enough to capture every person approaching your door, you will end up having hundreds of false alerts per day unless your have very very quiet doors.

If you set the sensitivity lower, basically everything triggers the motion detection except a human. Bugs, car lights, shadows of tress, neighbor opening windows, flashes for no good reason will trigger hundreds of alerts, but you will miss people who approach your doors. Alarm.com charges you based on how many clips you upload, so you will either pay more or have to limit/disable the upload. without upload feature and the phone app, this is no better than a 200 dollar system you can buy from Costco or Amazon. And I paid $2500 for this.
