I ordered this tape measure because I can never find a tape measure in my house and a pink one will send the message that this one belongs to me, don't touch! What would have made this tape measure even cuter is if the actual tape matched the pink on the case. Instead it is your standard yellow, which is obviously not a big deal. Just would have been a cute touch to make it pink. The only thing I care about for real when it comes to tape measures is that they work. They measure accurately and the tape snaps back with one push of the button. I am happy with this purchase.

I'm not that much of a handy man but used tape measures enough to appreciate that this tape measure holds the tape when you pull it out as a default setting. You don't need to push that switch to hold the tape.

The swtich is actually for activating the retraction capability.

Love the quality for the price ratio.
