    It’s gorgeous!! BUT: I’d like to give it 5 stars, but can’t yet, so for now it’s 4 stars. Why?
    It’s a refurbished laptop from a third party seller, and during set up, it says it will register it with HP for you if you click the boxes that appear on that screen. But when I went to confirm that registration directly with HP, HP said the warranty started last year and would end in 8 months. They told me to send the Amazon receipt so they could reset the warranty, which they have done. So make sure you contact HP directly to register the product and verify the warranty.

    Also, I purposely didn’t purchase the Assurion protection plan offered here when I put this in my cart here because I think it’s better for a laptop to get it directly from the manufacturer, which I did (HP).

    I’ll share an update about performance in a week. Fingers crossed! It sure is a beauty on sight!

    For some reason you can only see the truth about this product after navigating to the sellers page vs the reviews posted here on the front page which are the ones I pay attention to….I called HP for help setting up device bc I already have acct w HP for my printer.

    I only learned after being on an almost 2 hour call that these laptops are “modified” by the seller wha h voids manufacture warranty.

    I didn’t purchase Asurion warranty bc I planned to register my device w my HP account and use the factory warranty.

    Now I can’t buy the Asurion warranty.

    Now I have no choice but to return it bc HP told me the device was not deigned for 16 RAM, its designed for 4 and the device is going to run into trouble and guess what-it has no warranty!!!!

    Total false advertising. These are modified devices. There was no way for me to know this based on how this product page is set up. Also I only found out bc I happened to call HP after having trouble downloading apps and the tech pointed it out.

    I am glad I found out now rather than months down the road once the device doesn’t work at all…

    This is a tremendous laptop. My eight year old HP finally went caput. This new one is fantastic and I would recommend it to anyone looking for an inexpensive computer! I use the computer for my business and for gaming. I got the Valentine (Red) one and it is fine.

    This laptop is a great low-price machine for general use. I haven’t done anything extremely resource heavy with it, but it runs some decently heavy duty stuff with ease. The only thing I don’t like about it is the small hard drive, but that really isn’t a product issue - it’s just the product. For general use it’s great, but I would recommend going bigger if you need to have a lot of larger applications.
