We bought these water shoes to take to Hawaii to use on the hot beach and where the ground beneath the water was slippery or rough. The kids commented that they liked the fit, look and overall comfort but said that the shoes got very heavy when wet and that the sole was thin so walking even short distances wasn't nearly as comfortable as normal shoes or their cushy sandals.I do like that these actually have rubber soles, whereas some of the box store brands have a sort of foam sole that tends to slip easier when wet. Lastly, I would've preferred a solid sole to protect the bottom of their feet but the holes do help with drainage.

You can't beat this price for minimalist kid shoes. Upon first trying them on, my son said "wow, it feels like I'm already at the beach." He loves how comfy and cool they are. I love that they're versatile enough to wear at the playground or in the water, that the minimalist style supports his development, and of course the price. Also they're true to size. I hope they last until he outgrows them! Might be buying more for my daughter, who's pretty jealous of her brother's new kicks!
