Starts with a surprising twist. It has a lot of setup for what should be a fantastic next book or two.

Can’t wait for the next one!

This book was extremely entertaining, with above average fighting scenes and good and interesting character progression. That being said, it still reads like a serial web novel, with no real plot and the MC pinging from one relatively forgettable side story to the next. Even the character and friends development is virtually non-existent, which means the whole book relies heavily on the fight scenes. Still entertaining enough to read the next addition, I wish the plot would lead to something memorable or worth some dramatic tension. We'll see!

First of all I loved the cover art - well done. Things are moving quickly, new things are revealed. I love how the author sets up the next arc a few books ahead of time. The Tobrial Dynasty is coming!

In the beginning of this book we get to see the outcome of Zac's advancement to D grade, and I'll admit it threw me for a loop. I honestly didn't think I was going to enjoy it nearly as much as I did at that point. Man was I wrong, so much advancement occurs in this book we finally get momentum going with the undead empire. Zac's two halves make incredible progress in both life and death and the direction his cultivation is heading is going to amount to something absolutely epic. I'm sure it may be a another book until we see the outcome but I'm sure the next novel will include the two battling together finally and we will see some monstrous breakthroughs occur from that. Absolutely loved it. The ending was great as well as we finally see fate converging on everyone like a physical force. Also I'm excited to hear about Cathea hopefully she doesn't succumb to some horrible fate as seems to be the trend with any woman that successfully woes Zac.

Really loved the direction this book went. The author has a way of making every book unique and interesting every time. SPOILER ALERT

If the author reads these that is, I think since Zac know is two halves, you shouldn't rotate the name Zac. When talking about the draguar version it should be Arcaz and human Zac.

I cant wait for next book. I gave up reading most of Litpr after one or more books (exception are Randidly Ghosthound, Nova Rome, Carls dungeon and Primal Hunter). But i like this one most. I would prefer less cultivation, which is repetetive and hard to read, but best characters, world and epic story... Cant belive somebody has imagination like this and the story is beliavable.

Started well enough, but as the story progressed it got more bloated and fragmented. With the war just started and one fight being about 10% of the book the end seems unlikely in this lifetime.

Still one of, if not the, greatest litRPGs out there, and I can‘t get enough of it.
I‘ve read that some people think the story should have an ending or something and that this is just writing for writings sake, but I coulnd‘t care less.
I woulnd‘t mind reading book 100 of DotF when I’m old and It‘d probably be just as awesome as book 13.
Love the characters, love the system, love all the ways the story goes off the rails and somehow back on.
Really great ways the author finds to give zac advantages over others so the story doesn‘t get drawn out too long (like the double cultivation with both his bodies).

Can‘t wait for more awesome stories in Zecia and all the galaxies surrounding it, all the way to A grade and beyond :D

First of all this is one of my favorite series.
However I didn't really enjoyed reading this one. The beginning feels like it should've been the end of the previous one if not for the "surprise"... which I'm still not sure I like. And the rest feels like a big prelude to what's coming next.
So, let's see what brings the next book.

Although I am probably not the usual demographic of these books, I find them not only entertaining but also a great help in finding my own path. Many reflections resonate beyond a mere story.

5.0 out of 5 stars Progress Through Struggle

This was another great entry in this outstanding series. Up until now Zac and his company have adventured and grown within restricted trials and have been able to control exposure to higher level threats. But with the sanctioned war things start to change. We finally see how such a war is conducted under the system. It is a combination between controlled conflicts in war arrays and open battle fronts. Incredible action sequences as Zac and his team begin their rampage. Combat with D-grade skills and a core completely change a fight. Several campaigns are well described. We still get the kind of cultivation progress that has made this series so great. Seeds of things to come are planted and long foreshadowed plot threads are revealed. Outsiders show up for the fifth pillar trial and the sector is bathed in the fires of war. Looking forward to the next one.
