Good chair if you are tall, great chair is you are not.
I immediately put this on as a backpack. The straps are easy to adjust but based on where they are mounted on the back of the chair, there was no orientation that had the actually padded part on my chest or shoulders. Meaning the thin straps were in my armpits. So, yes I could carry it hands free, but not for too long or with a load in the back compartment.There is a drawstring pouch on the back that covers the vented seat back, so putting thins in the pouch should be limited to soft items (towels) and as long its full, there will be limited "breathability."One clip and it folds out and opens easily. The angle adjusts by lifting the arm rests upward slightly and then snapping them back down in a notch. The notches are metal lined, so they should hold up fine.It was a little short for me (6'3") to use the neck pad until fully reclined. My wife (5'2") however loved the fit and has likely appropriated the chair from this point forward. I liked it, would not be shy about getting another, and if I was under 5'10 would say it was a great versatile chair.

This is a great low-profile chair to take to the beach or other outdoor activities. By definition, beach chairs have short legs and are much more stable in the sand than a full-size camping chair. It can be used for camping as well, but will be low for sitting around a campfire IMO. It's also good for sitting on the grass at sporting events as long as no one else is sitting in front of you.
This chair is solidly built and feels like it will last for many years. The back can be adjusted to four different angles for sitting upright or kicking back. It is adjusted by lifting the handles. There is a cup holder and a cell phone holder. The back side includes a large pocket for carrying items. Since the intent is to carry the chair on your back like a backpack, this large pocket allows you to carry several other items such as a blanket, snacks, etc. The back of the chair has a ventilation screen, but in order to take advantage of this you'll want to empty the back chair when sitting it up. The seat materials are thick and tough. There is also a small pillow which you can place between your neck and the chair so that the steel frame is not pressing into your neck.
I find it comfortable to sit in, especially when slightly reclined. I could easily take a nap in this chair.
