Product Description

If I could give -0 stars I would it arrived brand new in case wrapped in plastic but when I opened the case and removed the disc it was clearly used it was scratches all over it as seen in the picture above this is by far the worst purchase Ive ever made from Amazon also it skips and glitches the whole time would send back but it'll cost me more to send back than I did purchasing the movie sad bad deal Amazon.

This is what American History should look like. It's a really difficult movie. For me, I almost felt aggrieved. I'd compare it to a Faulkner novel, because it features the same type of edge, the combative witty antiheros in a violent, indifferent world. I don't believe you can consider Fred Hampton a hero, if you think about what could have happened in the event of a revolution/civil war. And since you're reading my entry, I shouldn't withhold anything? Okay, respectfully, Fred Hampton was wrong. Capitalism improved everyone's lives, while leading us to a more equitable union. A revolution would have worsened the aggregate considerably. Now, this isn't to type that he deserved to die or that his rage against bigotry was unjustified. And the argument could be made that without many of those who agitated without making the demand or distinction for peaceful means, the process would not have improved so drastically and as fast And I will type further that many disagree with this assessment of now, today and I will further admit that things could still turn bad for everyone, still, in a racial America as a whole sense. But, the United States has improved in the sixty some years since the movie took place as comparative with sixty years prior to that. So, that's progress. And I don't believe the movie did much more than the regular Hollywood-tinting making all of the characters more palatable then they actually were. To sum, this is the story of the United States, people dying and killing for what they believe, while the country slowly, steadily progresses. The two male leads did superb jobs. I keep telling myself that I will watch it again.

It took me a long time to decide to watch a film about Fred Hampton because I knew how it would end and it was too much pain to bear. However, this movie showcased the pain and complexities of being Black in America - shinning a light on the many ways that law enforcement has force manipulated Black people into betraying each other. We have free breakfast programs for ALL nationalities of people because of the Black Panther Party For Self Defense - who were the vanguards of many social programs that exist in today's society. That they are still portrayed as a terrorist group is a disgrace - especially since many of them, such as Fred Hampton were executed by our own government. We have a lot of healing and restoration to do - South Africa is way ahead of us in terms of truth and reconciliation. Kudos to Judas and the Black Messiah for speaking truth to these issues.
