EDITED: Got two, both defective, good customer service
UPDATE: Unfortunately I found myself in need of a bandage for a small cut on my finger. I opened the huge variety pack of adhesive bandages included in this pack and found the bandage that I opened had very poor adhesive. The bandage fell off my finger within an hour of no activity. Due to the low quality of these bandages, I am removing a star and updating my review to go from 4 stars down to 3.EDIT: Customer service reached out promptly regarding my defective kits. It was solid quick and responsive customer service and for that, I am changing my review from 2 stars to 4 stars. At this price, for how much you get, with quality customer service, I have to say I am satisfied. If the kit came with no defects from the start, I’d rate this kit 5 stars based on variety of supplies, number of supplies, and the price.I was so excited to find this emergency medical kit for such a reasonable price. However, it’s clear now why it was priced so cheap in comparison to its competitors. When I received my first one, the strong on the front zipper was simply just not there. A small inconvenience, but nonetheless a defective product. I also noticed the compass inside was completely nonfunctional; the arrow was stuck in a single position and wouldn’t move at all. I initiated a return and selected to have a replacement sent. The replacement arrived with a black stain on the front pouch. Upon opening the front pouch, I discovered the “waterproof” lining was ripped allowing any liquid spilled on the outside to travel into the pocket, soaking whatever supplies might be in there. Even at the reasonable price I purchased at, it’s extremely disappointing to receive two defective kits back to back. The compass of the second pack is also clearly incorrect and just spins around freely. I worry about the quality of the supplies just based on the defects and the compass but hopefully they are high enough quality to function as they should. Were the first, or even second kit, in proper condition with no defects, I would likely rate this kit 3/4 stars as it is jam packed with tons of great emergency supplies. With the multiple defects, non functioning compasses, and lack of medicines like ibuprofen, acetaminophen, and aspirin, I’m rating this kit as 2 stars. If you don’t care much about the kit itself but rather the content inside, I would still recommend this product as it’s still an incredible bang for your buck.Pros: massive amount of first aid materials provided, wide variety of materials, contains nearly everything an average person could need for a first aid kit, comes with ample space to add your own materialsCons: quality control issues with the pack itself, poor adhesive bandages, no medicines (e.g. ibuprofen) providedOverall: I would recommend this product for anyone looking to have a BASIC emergency medical kit with a wide variety of materials and room to add/customize with their own materials.
